Ingredients

Dough

  • 50 grams Sugar 

  • 100 grams Brown Sugar

  • 1 Egg yolk

  • Egg 

  • 200 grams All-purpose Flour

  • ½ Teaspoon Salt

  • 2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • 170 grams Butter

  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

  • 100 grams Milk Chocolate Chips

  • 100 grams Dark Chocolate chopped

Topping

  • 20 grams Dark Chocolate chopped

1. Browning Butter and Cookie Dough

1. Add your butter to a sauce pan and put it on the stove. Put the heat to medium. Let it simmer until it gets a brown clolour. Put your pan off the stove and set it aside to cool.

2. In a bowl, add your sugar and brown sugar. Pour your slightly cooled butter into your bowl and fold everything gently in until just combined. Now add your egg, egg yolk and vanilla extract. Mix everything together until you get a smooth batter. 

3. Add flour, salt and baking soda to your batter. Fold everything gently in until just combined.

4. Pour your milk-chocolate chips and your chopped dark chocolate into the bowl and fold it into the dough.

2. Scoop and let it chill

1. Now scoop your cookie dough into small cookie balls and place them on a baking dish.

2. Put on each cookie ball small bits of some chopped dark chocolate.

3. Let your cookie balls chill in the freezer overnight or atleast for 2 hours before baking.

3. Baking

1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.

2. Get your cookies out of the freezer and press each of them till they get a little flat. 

3. Bake for 12 minutes.

Tips

  • Here is how you can shape your cookies better

  • Don't overmix your cookie dough since your cookies would get too tough

  • Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top of each cookie to enhance the flavor

  • Use high quality chocolate for the cookies. Make sure that the cocoa percantage is at least 55%
