Ingredients
Dough
-
250 grams All-purpose Flour
-
180ml warm Water
-
10ml Oil
-
1 Teaspoon dry Yeast
-
60 grams Greek Yogurt
-
1 Teaspoon Sugar
-
1 Tablespoon Salt
Garlic Butter
-
50 grams Butter melted
-
2 big cloves Garlic chopped
-
1 Teaspoon Cilantro
-
½ Teaspoon Salt
1. Prepare the Dough
1. In a bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, water, salt, oil and greek yogurt. Mix everything together until you get a rough dough.
2. Knead your dough until it becomes smooth for 10 minutes.
3. Now cover your bowl with a towel and let your dough rest for 1 hour. Make sure that your dough is resting on a warm spot. It should double in size.
2. Garlic Butter
1. While the dough is resting, we prepare the garlic butter.
2. In a bowl, add your melted butter, chopped garlic, cilantro and salt. Mix everything together until you get a buttery mixture.
3. Set aside to spread it on the naan later.
3. Shape and bake
1. Place your double-in sized dough on a floured flat surface. Roll your dough out like a stick.
2. Now cut your dough into 10 pieces and roll them each to a ball.
3. Set your dough balls aside and put a big pan on the stove. Turn your stove on to medium high heat.
4. While the pan is heating up, we roll a dough ball thinly out and put it on the dry hot pan. The dough has to rise in the pan or have bubbles on the surface atleast. Now flip your naan and let the other side fry in the pan. Turn your heat to medium.
5. While you are frying your naan, you can prepare your other dough balls by rolling them out.
4. Assemble
1. While we let the magic happen on the stove, we prep our freshly baked naan.
2. While the naan is still hot, we brush it over with the garlic butter. Do this right after getting them out of the pan.
3. Enjoy!
